The facility, which is Michigan-based, is a vertically integrated manufacturer with a growing portfolio of company-designed products. It designs and manufactures custom ball screws from a variety of materials and also designs, manufactures, assembles and tests electromechanical actuators.

Responsibilities associated with this position are typically performed in an office setting or designated administrative area and requires occasional visits to additional company facilities. Movement through industrial or manufacturing areas is required along with the use of appropriate personal protective wear and consistent observance of established safety policies at all times. Summary Of Position

The Actuation Test Engineer is responsible for the design and development of test and controls equipment for the semiconductor, aerospace and automotive industry. This job description indicates the general nature and level of the work that is expected. Main Responsibilities
• Develop and implement test plans for new equipment, processes and materials
• Design and develop test equipment
Install and commission systems with high power motor drives and motors, analog and/or digital servo systems.
• Develop and install plant control systems with PLC’s from Allen-Bradley Modicon, Siemens, Texas Instruments, GE and Fanuc.
• Program and operate industrial control systems for applications in the semiconductor, aerospace and automotive industries
• Perform tests throughout the production stages to determine degree of control over key process variables
• Analyze and interpret product test data through analysis of analog, digital, mixed signal, switching regulators and power circuits
• Troubleshoot problems found in the development, test or installation of our products as they relate to electronics and recommend solutions
• Review and support technical and pricing data with management
• Investigate new instrumentation, explore new concepts and test operating practices in order to improve overall test process
• Develop procedures and training for manufacturing support team
• Develop and implement R & D plans along with the Test Equipment Design Engineers, for the development of custom electronics to lead to new products
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements
• Bachelors Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
• Minimum of Five years of experience in similar organization or industry
• Proficiency using computer based data entry systems such as MS Office
• Proficiency using engineering software such as Visual Basic, LabView, C++, Pascal, AutoCad or Pro/E
• Minimum five years of experience programming and working with Allen Bradley, Siemens, Modicon and Human Interface Equipment
